At the shop only (does not apply to online sales) - Time for a huge clearance sale…to either make room for more items or to clear out dead inventory. We have some how ended up with a lot of leashes that do not match anything now…and we need to clear our shelves so…
We will be offering 50% off our leashes, clothing and gift items, 25% off our Rhinestone collars and basic collars…plus 25% off on our Specialty beds. Special orders will not receive any discounts and must be paid for in advance. We have ended up with to many items that people have had us order and then do not come in and purchase.
All clothes and harnesses will be 50% off…we will bring in winter clothes also. Our K4P coats can only be 25% off since we did not mark them up MSRP.
Treats will not be discounted…they are kept low in price anyway…so they will be a regular price.

Our Yappy Hour on May 4th was a lot of fun. We had about 30 dogs + their owners participate during those 3 hours. We had the owner of a local raw food manufacturer show up and discuss the advantages of raw food diet.
Each Yappy Hour we will have someone special there to talk about a different topic of interest. Most of the time it will be a surprise.
Our next Yappy Hour will be June 1st (Friday) 5-8. We will provide refreshments for people and dogs. I have to say the dogs were funny to watch with the smorgyboard of treats we offered.
Reminder that Yappy Hour is this Friday - May 4th from 5-8. We hope this will be a great event every month and that everyone can show up and give their input. It is time for everyone to show off their dogs and dog knowledge!

Thank goodness - April is over. It was the slowest month we have had in 4 years. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that everyone remembers to come in this month. We were pleased that our online shopping has been busier and we hope it continues.

The notice went out in the paper - so I guess I had better post the event here. Yappy Hour will begin May 4th and continue through the year. It will be the first Friday of every month, from 5-8 pm.
Yappy Hour will be our monthly get together - to have fellow dog lovers stop by with their dogs and get to know one another. We have had several requests from dog owners to get to know other dog owners of the same breed they have.
Each breed has it own health, socialization and grooming issues. Everyone has questions about which vet do you use, what shampoo or food do you feed your dog…so we are going to gather all the resources everyone provides us and each other.
We have had requests for having get togethers at the park with the same breed. To have social time with the same breeds and not have to worry about mixing big dog and little dog together. This is an opportunity for people to arrange those meetings.
The largest request is to find local breeders and rescue groups - so they can either breed their dog or get another dog as a companion for their dog. We have some first time dog owners that want to meet the large variety of dogs that come to our shop.
So…mark it on your calendar…we will be mailing out a newsletter shortly to remind everyone to come on down and enjoy the refreshments and fellow dog lovers.
March 31st is Downtown Lodi’s sidewalk sale…most all of the merchants that can participate will have tables and racks of products out on display. For those of us that have no employees - we will be open, but no displays - we have no one to watch our goods outside.
We have put the spring/summer dresses and tanks we had in back on the shelves. We are waiting for the Backer show the first week of April to be over before we order more. This is the big release of all the designers new lines and styles. We have received their catalogs - put nothing gets released until after the Backer show in Chicago.
They have shows??? Yes, they have four major ones a year throughout the nation. By mid April we will have the clothes coming in every few weeks.
