It has been awhile since I gave everyone an update. The cart is fixed for AOL users. I will be sending out a newsletter for those that signed up. There is now a link to sign-up if you haven’t already. Our newletters will have coupons in them to use while shopping on our site.
We officially closed the doors on Monday 12/31/07. We were there yesterday over the New Year, still had people walking in…great day to buy since we were selling everying at 75% off.
During the next few days we will be emptying out everything. I have made arrangement with the Colleen, the groomer next door, to have one dog party a month. The first one will be on a Sunday…January 27th. This will give you time to order things online and I can bring them with me or just order or purchase for Valentines day.
We are experiencing some problems with our cart at the moment and our server tech’s are working on it. You should be able to view the cart in a few days.
Yes, it is true. We are closing the shop after 5 years. We have tried to keep the shop going, but sadly we have to close the doors. We faced the last year at half sales and then dropping to a quarter of our sales the last 3 months. There is no recovery from this type of drop in sales.
During the next 6 weeks we will be closing out all inventory, furnishing, and displays. If anyone has anything that was on consignment, you need to come pick-up what is there, so we can settle accounts.
After our last batch of special orders come in…there will be no more special orders or orders of any kind from our shop. After the end of December we will re-open our online shop and place orders for what we need for on-line.
You will be able to do special orders for big dog collars and harnesses through our online.
I personally want to thank those of you that continued to come in and support us through the months…it helped to keep us going through the end of the year…but, I just can’t keep going further into debt and owing everyone. Dependent on the job I get…we will see about doing events in the future.
Lot’s of things are new at the shop. The slings are in…great for front carry. We brought in new tote bags and found a vendor for the breed wallets and purses.
Puppia harnesses should be here this week. We got more trundle beds in with two new furs. Two new PuppyPurses…camo and twinkle toes. Found a new designer for tiny clothes…really cute! Those are up on the shopping cart.
We got Eye envy in and already sold all by one starter kit. We have a new line of shampoos…these are selling well. New silk collars all sold but one…so it is on display so you can see the style and feel the texture.
New Camo Totes are adoreable…two new beds are in and a few tees.
I think that is all for this week. We have already got new customers with our Pet sitting and Dog Walking Service…very exciting times.
I do start teaching at Delta on 8/23 and have a meeting there on the 16th. My mom will cover in the afternoons for me and I will be back at 7:00 p.m. to close up the shop.

New products coming in: We have new snuggle slings arriving this week…you can see them on our shopping cart. We have been approved by Puppia and we are waiting for our first order to arrive this week or at the beginning of next week.

August Yappy Hour will be this Friday, August 3, 2007. Join the fun and stop by between 5-8 p.m. This is a great way to get to know other dog owners, breeders and trainers.
Yappy Hour has been a great way for some extra socialization for our dogs. The dogs truly get a little yappy and then realize no one cares…and then they just have fun.
Still awaiting confirmation on guest appearance…so it will have to be a surprise.

We are working with our insurance company right now to finalize our new adventure. Kingdom of Four Paws will be offering Pet sitting and dog walking. Check out our website during the next week. We will add a section on what we provide and how to schedule an appointment. We feel there is a huge need for this service…most of us would prefer to have our pets stay at home.
We have arranged for several people to assist us that also specialize in exotic birds, horses, snakes, lizards, fish and other little ones.
Stop by our shop to find out more…once we have the go from our agent, we will start handing out flyers.

We have new products that will be added to our on-line shopping this week. I think you will be pleased with the addition. We will be bringing some of the items into the shop during the next month.
July’s Yappy Hour will be 07/06/07. Bring the dogs, stop by between 5-8 pm and have a good time. This event is a casual get together in order to meet other dog owners and dog breeds. Looking for another dog? This is a great way to network and make those connections you want to have. We have people looking for play days at the park, finding out who you go to for a vet, and if you are a breeder or rescue…people are looking for another dog.
Our shop hours will be changing as time progesses. Until I start teaching at Delta in the Fall (8/23) we will try to be open 7 days a week on the first week of the month. In otherwords…the first Sunday and Monday of the month we will be at the shop.
My classes at Delta for the Fall semester are only on Thursday from 3:00-6:00. My Mom or someone will be at the shop to cover.
